1913 Evinrude Detachable Rowboat Motor

This is an aesthetically restored 1913 Evinrude detachable row boat motor...as you can see in the pictures, practically the whole motor is polished. The only thing that isn't polished is the cylinder, the transom mount and the fly wheel which were POWDER COATED black. It is really beautiful. It does turn over and seems to have good compression but it is being sold as a display piece only.

Everything on the motor was taken apart, cleaned and either polished or powder coated.

It is a piece of Americana and folk art that any guy can appreciate. This is being sold as a display piece although I'm sure it would not take much to get it running again as these old motors are pretty simple.

I bought this particular motor specifically because of the gas tank and its overall shape. The gas tank is slightly different than any other rowboat motor I've seen. I think it was an aftermarket option because it's fabrication looks very era correct. It was included with the motor when I bought it but and I loved the way the galvanized steel polished so I put it on. All three bolts did not fit so there is one bolt missing that attaches the tank from the bottom but you can hardly notice it and the tank is firmly secured. I am in the process of making the fuel line that goes from the carb to the tank and that will be installed and included also. I do have the original tank too without the id tag and will sell it to you if requested. Make an offer, I won't be insulted.
